Following the success of our silent auction during Taste of Yountville, we have nine (9) more items that are now available via online auctions on eBay. We hope you will bid often, and bit a lot, as all the proceeds go to benefit the #3BraveWomenFund.

(2) Tickets to NEEDTOBREATHE 2018 Tour + Meet & Greet + Airfare
GRAMMY-nominated group NEEDTOBREATHE are set to hit the road on a headlining tour across the country and you and a friend can bid on a chance to attend a mutually agreed upon show on the tour, as well as meet the band. See tour dates here*.

Round trip air travel for you and a friend on Southwest Airlines-operated, published, scheduled service in the United States and Puerto Rico. (Ground transportation and hotel accommodations are not included). $6,000 Raised During Live Silent Auction for #3BraveWomenFund

Following the recent tragedy that took place at our charity partner, The Pathway Home, we wanted to do more to help the organization as well as the families of the three women who lost their lives that day through the #3BraveWomenFund.

While there was only a few days between the incident and our event, we scrambled to put together a silent auction at the Taste of Yountville event. We put a call out for donations to our many amazing partners and wineries, media companies and other local businesses jumped to action to contribute.

We received offers of almost 30 bottles of wine, artwork, show tickets, and gift certificates for meals and tastings. The next day, thanks to the efforts of Chris Heuer and Susan Rousseau, who put the auction together in record time, as well as Nanette Humer, who helped to oversee the live auction as well as many other volunteers, we placed 16 items out for bid during our event. With the incredible support of the Taste of Yountville attendees, we were able to raise almost $5,000.00!

In addition to the silent auction funds, we introduced everyone to the Dip Jar, which enabled us to collect nearly $1,000.00 in credit card donations during the event.

We wish to send a heartfelt thank you to the following organizations who donated their goods and services to help support the #3BraveWomenFund. We are lucky to work within a true community where so many wonderful people jump to action in times of need. 

In fact, there was so much support from the community that we could not auction it all during our live event. We have nine (9) more items that will now be sold in online auctions!

Unfortunately, this will not include the rest of the incredible wine we had available as we are prohibited from selling these items on eBay, and we were unsuccessful in finding another economical auction platform that could support our efforts. Because of this, we will be returning the wine bottle donations back to the following wineries who also offered their support:

We are grateful for their offers to help, and we are deeply sorry we were not able to get their donations into the live auctions to support the families even further.

I would like to thank our local community for springing into action to help us raise money for the #3BraveWomenFund. It is now up to all of us to show our support of all of these organizations — buy their wine, eat at their restaurants, and use their goods and services.

And remember, we are not done yet.

For those of you planning to buy tickets to Yountville Live on site during the event, please note you will need to come to the Yountville Community Hall located at 6516 Washington St, Yountville, CA 94599.

 

Our registration desk will be open during the following hours:

  • Thursday 10am-5pm*
  • Friday 9:00am-5pm*
  • Saturday 10am-5pm
  • Sunday 10am-4pm 

Make sure you bring your credit card and your ID as we are a cashless event. Plastic rules here!

BONUS: We are offering a discount for locals who can show a valid ID with a Yountville address. Come ask us about it!

* If you are joining us for the Welcome Reception or the Red Carpet Gala and cannot get to the General Will Call before 5pm either day, we will be on site at the event (at the V Marketplace in downtown Yountville).

Yountville Live Supports #3BraveWomenFund

[UPDATE: THUR, MARCH 15, 2018: While the status of The Pathway Home’s future is still being determined, our efforts to raise funds this weekend with our silent auction, and donation ‘dipjar’ are all going to the #3BraveWomenFund to support the families of the victims. We remain committed to their mission of serving the needs of post 9/11 Veterans and will determine how we will best be supporting whatever course they choose for their future.]

In the wake of Friday’s tragic shooting at The Pathway Home, Yountville Live will join our charity partner and the Town of Yountville to honor the three lives that were lost. We are asking attendees and supporters of our event to help donate to the families of Ms. Loeber and Drs. Gonzales and Golick through the 3 Brave Women Fund that has been created (#3bravewomenfund).

Those who wish to provide support to The Pathway Home directly are encouraged to donate at www.thepathwayhome.org, where messages of condolence and support can also be posted.

Yountville Live will also donate a portion of the proceeds from Saturday and Sunday’s “Taste of Yountville” ticket sales to both the 3 Brave Women Fund and The Pathway Home, as well as curating auction items that people will be able to bid on to benefit both (more details on this shortly).

In a truly devastating moment like this we need to come together and show support for not only a community that has experienced a huge loss, but to an organization that has done so much to guide and assist veterans, The Pathway Home. Logistics Galore — What to Wear, Where to Park, Where to Stay, Special Event Bus Info, And More.

It is hard to believe it is almost here! In just one week we’ll be greeting you at the registration desk, providing your Yountville Live badge (sure to be a keepsake), a handy dandy map to all of the venue locations, restaurants and activities taking place during the weekend. And then we will let you loose!

But there are a few things you need to know about now — before you get on an airplane, or in your car, or on the train.

REGISTRATION/WILL CALL DESKS

Please note that everyone will need to check into their respective Registration Desk to pickup your badge and other pertinent event information to attend the festivities.

  • General Will Call: Heritage Community Center (6516 Washington St, Yountville, CA 94599)
  • VIP Ticket Holders: Olive Room in the Hotel Villagio (6481 Washington St, Yountville – located on the north side of the hotel, walk down side street between the hotel and the JCB Tasting Salon)

The registration desk(s) will be open several hours each day, as noted below:

  • Thursday 10am-5pm*
  • Friday 9:00am-5pm*
  • Saturday 10am-5pm
  • Sunday 10am-4pm (General Will Call only)

WEATHER

Rain or shine, we’ve got you covered. Literally.

While we will hope for sun, Mother Nature likes to randomly water the wildflowers this time of year, so we are doing our best to prepare for anything she brings.

Each main stage area will be covered by a tent to help you stay dry or prevent a crazy sunburn.

LODGING

Not from around here? Still need to book a hotel room? We have plenty of options for you. The hotels in downtown Yountville are all nearly sold out, so you need to act quickly! There are also great places to stay close by in Napa.

TRAVEL AND PARKING

Need directions to Yountville? We’ve left some breadcrumbs out for you whether you are coming from the north, south, east or west. We’ll also have signage once you enter the town of Yountville to make sure you get to the place you need to be.

Yountville is a small town and totally walkable, however, parking is really limited. If you will be driving into Yountville for the day, we have secured free parking for you on the beautiful grounds of the Veterans Home of California, their address is: 260 California Drive, Yountville, CA 94599. We will have a shuttle service available from the Veterans Home parking lot to each the event venues, including the will call/registration area.

The shuttle will run as follows:

  • Thursday 4pm – 8pm
  • Friday 4pm – 11PM
  • Saturday: 11am – 6pm
  • Sunday: 11am – 6pm

Please be responsible. Do not drink and drive. Identify a designated driver or plan to use ride services like UBER or LYFT, or one of the local taxi options. Add one or more of these into your phone before you arrive:

In the Round, In Wine Country!If you have a ticket to the ACM In the Round event on Saturday featuring Jillian Jacqueline, The Sisterhood Band, Maggie Rose, and Tenille Townes at Regusci Winery, please note there is absolutely no parking at the venue.

We have arranged for a bus to pick everyone up at the Veterans Home of California at 260 California Drive, Yountville, CA 94599 and it will carry you from the parking lot to the front door of the venue, and back again.

Really important — you need to be at the Veterans Home of California parking lot by 10:30am on Saturday in order to get on the bus. If you happen to arrive later, you are welcome to take an Uber, Lyft or taxi to the venue (it is about a 12 minute ride). Again, there is no onsite parking, so please do not drive your own car to the venue.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR ATTENDEES OF THE “BUBBLES BRUNCH”

Bubbles Brunch with NEEDTOBREATHEIf you have a ticket to the Bubbles Brunch event on Sunday featuring NEEDTOBREATHE, first — lucky you! Next, there is absolutely no parking at the venue.

We have arranged for a bus to pick everyone up at the Veterans Home of California at 260 California Drive, Yountville, CA 94599 and it will carry you from the parking lot to the front door of the venue, and back again.

Really important — you need to be at the Veterans Home of California parking lot by 9:35am on Sunday in order to get on the bus. If you happen to arrive later, you are welcome to take an Uber, Lyft or taxi to the venue (it is about a 30 minute ride). Again, there is no onsite parking, so please do not drive your own car to the venue.

CLOTHING

Wear threads you will be comfortable in. Depending on the weather, we will see everything from t-shirt and shorts to sundresses to jeans and sweaters. Even if it is sunny, it will be a little cool, so dress in a way that will ensure you can hang all day long (and night long too if you are attending the VIP parties!).

We expect some will get a little more fancy for the Red Carpet Gala, and for the 8@8 dinners, but this is wine country and everything goes here. Just remember the odds of getting your photo taken with an artist or celebrity chef are pretty good here, so let that help share your wardrobe selection. 🙂

As for shoes, if you can stand for an hour in stilettos – great! – my knees envy you. There will be a little walking involved as you roam from stage to stage, or master class to master class, or from one wine vendor to another wine vendor (priorities!), and the ground will be a mix of cement, wood decking. Choose your shoes wisely.

LOST AND FOUND + MEDICAL 

If you happen to misplace something or need medical attention of any kind, please go to the General Registration/Will Call Desk by the Heritage Demo Stage (where Yount Street and Washington Street meet) and we will assist you as needed.
