Acclaimed singer-songwriters Jon McLaughlin and Dave Barnes will team up for an intimate event to excite all the senses at the NOMAD Heritage Library at Stewart

Cellars where guests will be treated to tastings of their prestigious portfolio paired with southern inspired open-fire cooking by Chef Morgan Robinson of Smoke and the Southside Cafe.  McLaughlin is best known for his songs “Beautiful Disaster” and “Beating My Heart,” which Hollywood took notice of and started using his music for films and commercials. Jon himself was offered a role in the hit film Enchanted, performing his song “So Close.” The song was later nominated for an Academy Award, and in 2008 he found himself onstage at the Oscars reprising the tune in front of 32 million US viewers.  Dave Barnes, who recently released “Who Knew It Would Be So Hard Vol 1” EP and will be releasing Vol 2 in February, is a respected Nashville songwriter who received Grammy and CMA nominations for Blake Shelton’s recording of his song “God Gave Me You” and recently celebrated a #1 at country radio for penning Thomas Rhett ’s single “Craving You” that features Marren Morris. He has also penned songs for Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Marc Broussard, Billy Currington, Hunter Hayes, Matt Wertz, Ben Rector and many others.

Arthur Hartunian, owner, distiller and visionary behind the Award-winning Napa Distillery has been quietly dominating the growing world of “craft” spirits.  Making their very own Whiskey, Gin, Vodka, Rum, Pastis, Brandy and becoming the home of one of the most coveted collections of handmade and various “bitters” has made this distillery a place of wild invention and creative energy.   Guests will start off with an educational tour of the distillery with our brand ambassador then follow with a special whiskey barrel tasting hosted by Arthur. You’ll be ushered upstairs to the hidden “prohibition” style bar – their epic grand tasting salon – where guests will get a mini flight of craft spirits and learn the proper method of spirits tasting. Finish off this up-close-and-personal experience with a cocktail making presentation by musical guest mixologist, Foy Vance, followed by an acoustic performance of a song or two. Don’t worry, no experience would be complete without some culinary flare so there will be small bites served as well.

Chef Tiffany Sewell of Famed New Orleans Restaurant Brennan’s will team up with Louisiana native singer-songwriter Marc Broussard and his father, acclaimed Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist and former member of The Boogie Kings, Ted Broussard for a true Cajun culinary experience. All three famed Louisiana creatives will come together to delight guests’ palette as well as their ears. The Broussards, who dabble in the culinary world with a flair for cooking cajun, are known for their “Bayou Soul”, a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop, matched with distinct Southern roots, will perform a short acoustic set as attendees nibble on the best that the Big Easy has to offer in the Barrel Room of V Marketplace.
