Celebrity Chef and Music Demonstrations

There are numerous chef demonstrations included in the Taste of Yountville tickets, but these are special experiences with celebrity chefs and celebrity guests. Besides being indoors, these events all include a tasting/sampling of the food being cooked or the cocktails being mixed, or in some instances with a special wine pairing. In other words, this isn’t like any chef demonstrations you are used to seeing.

Each event below is a separate $50 ticket from Taste of Yountville.


Friday, March 15

Chef Tiffany Sewell of Famed New Orleans Restaurant Brennan’s will team up with Louisiana native singer-songwriter Marc Broussard and his father, acclaimed Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist and former member of The Boogie Kings, Ted Broussard for a true Cajun culinary experience. All three famed Louisiana creatives will come together to delight guests’ palette as well as their ears. The Broussards, who dabble in the culinary world with a flair for cooking cajun, are known for their “Bayou Soul”, a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop, matched with distinct Southern roots, will perform a short acoustic set as attendees nibble on the best that the Big Easy has to offer in the Barrel Room of V Marketplace.

James beard nominee, winner of Bravo’s Top Chef, author and owner of the hit Chicago restaurant, Little Goat Diner, is ready turn Napa on its head. The irresistibly fun Stephanie Izard will be on stage to draw new recruits to the Goat Army. She’s the chef that loves getting her hands dirty, loves what Napa does for her dishes and loves sharing what’s she’s up to anytime, all the time.

She’ll be bring the flavors from her book, Girl & The Goat and the spices that go with it, cooking sauces and spice mixes inspired by flavors from around the world. Chef Stephanie Izard is the celebrity chef of the new age, ready to tweet, and ready to eat. Only at Yountville Live.

Be My Valentine featuring Gary Valentine

We’re pretty sure this craft beer thing just might catch on. Maybe. Of course, the “Sommelier of Craft Beer,” Gary Valentine, knew beer’s future of innovation and good taste lay with small brewers. What started as a passion turned into studies at Chicago-based Siebel Institute of Technology & World Brewing Academy and a career as a beer consultant to restaurants and brewers worldwide. Join Gary as he takes you for a stroll with Golden Road Brewing with pours of their Berry Guava Wheat, Wolf Pup Session IPA and Mango Cart brews. You’ll also experience some tasty dishes prepared by his special guest, his better half and forever valentine, Chef Stephanie Izard. From Junk Food to Joy featuring Joy Bauer & members of NEEDTOBREATHE

Joy Bauer, MS, RDN is one of the nation’s leading health authorities. She is the nutrition and health expert for NBC’s TODAY show, the founder of Nourish Snacks, a monthly columnist for Woman’s Day magazine and the official nutritionist for the New York City Ballet. Joy is also the the author of 12 New York Times best-selling books including her latest book, From Junk Food to Joy Food, based on her popular TODAY show series, in which viewers challenge Joy to turn fattening favorites into delicious, diet-friendly fare for the honor of the coveted “two carrots up.” Joy will be joined by members of the GRAMMY-nominated group NEEDTOBREATHE to help assist in the demo as well as look at how to make some of their favorites diet-friendly while out on the road touring. Attendees will get the chance to meet and greet with Joy as well as get a chance to purchase the highly acclaimed From Junk Food to Joy Food book.

Stories Behind The Song
featuring Emerson Hart, David Ryan Harris, and David Hodges

Join good friends and incredibly talented artists and songwriters in their own right Emerson Hart, David Ryan Harris and David Hodges as they do an “in the round” guitar pull telling the stories behind some of the greatest hits they either sang or had a hand in writing. Emerson Hart, a songwriter, producer, vocalist and guitarist, is best known as the frontman for the multi-Platinum selling band Tonic who had smash hits “Open Up Your Eyes” and “If You Could Only See.” A Yountville Live veteran Hart has had great success as a solo artist as well releasing two albums and hand-picked Harris and Hodges to join him for this event. David Ryan Harris is a critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that has built an impressive catalog in a near three-decade career in early bands such as Follow For Now, Brand New Immortals and has amassed a great fan base with seven full-length solo albums, the latest of which was released in June of 2017 Songs For Other People. He also is highly celebrated for producing, writing and/or performing with the likes of John Mayer, Dave Matthews, India.Arie and more. David Hodges rounds out the three remarkable talents as a songwriter, producer, composer and vocalist who might be best known as a member of the GRAMMY-Award winning group Evanescence, who sold over 16 million albums worldwide. Over his close to two decade long career Hodges has written and produced for the likes of Kelly Clarkson (“Because of You), Celine Dion (“This Time”), Daughtry (“What About Now”), Carrie Underwood (“Play On”), Christina Perri (“A Thousand Years”) and so many more winning several BMI Awards. The intimate event will be capped with a specialty tasting presented by Basil Hayden that will be paired with delectable small bites. Because Sundays were made for contests, after Bob shows everyone how to work with unexpected ingredients like candied nuts, chicken lollypops, and salmon cupcakes to make dishes that are unforgettable and insanely delicious, it’s time for the battle you never knew could taste so good,  the “Man vs. Can” pasta throwdown.
